I did not watch the Oscars, and I had never heard of you or your music. I was flipping through the channels on TV and I saw you singing ith your Grantmother on HBO. I continued to watch. Your have a beautiful spirit. God truly forms each of us for His purposes. You can reach so many people. Your song about AIDS, your sharing of the reality of God’s love has and will continue to touch many lives. God bless and keep you.

I cried when I saw this amazing woman,here I am worrying aboout bills and other life pains and here is a woman with somuch difficulties but has so much to give.
Her life is just great.

Your joyful songs reminds me why I so love Africa and its people! In Africa in the 60′s, in tow with parents who also LOVED Africa we roamed all the tourist spots, cross the Nile while finding our share of animals only seen in a zoo–now those zoos and amuzement parks are places of horror; a prison for each and every animal! My hope is that all close down including those that glide through water. The abuse is dreadful. It is my hope that no one will EVER go to any animal attraction so the wildest can be set free–REALLY FREE!

I just saw that documentary and I must say it had me in tears. Tears of joy! I was saddended by the circumstances, but I was overjoyed because she has a good passion for singing. Her voice is amazing! The entire band is just wonderful. They play beautiful music. The lyrics are so passionate and real. I love Liyana!

I have a disability (polio) and seeing the documentary has opened my eyes on how disability is viewed in other countries.
